Condemn harassment of JU students by local police

On June 7, last Saturday a bunch of policemen of Jadavpur police station, Kolkata went without any search warrant to search a house, in Jadavpur rented by female students of Jadavpur University. Facing a strong protest from the students, human right activists and local people, police had to come back. According the police, these students, who are the members of Matangini Mahila Samiti have link with Maoists.

We strongly condemn such violation of human rights and the tactics of unleashing terror by labeling somebody as Maoists.
